Or maybe can’t shift that wobbly tummy?

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to gain fat in specific areas, while someone else may be fat in a different area?

This is an intriguing question and one that used to struggle to answer.

Recently I have started to uncover the truth about how to drop pounds of fat from your problem areas. Most trainers will tell you that you can’t spot reduce. Or lose fat from specific places. I should know, as I have told people this very thing in the past. Now I’m not saying that doing a million crunches a day will give you a six pack, or sitting on a thigh machine in the gym will give you the thighs you have always dreamed of.

The answer to reducing fat from specific areas is linked to your internal body chemistry. A little known fact about losing body fat is that it has as much or more to do with your hormones and liver than how many calories you are eating.

This means that to boost your results you need to improve the way your body produces, recognizes and processes hormones.

If you are a woman and tend to store fat around the bum and hips, it may well be you are having problems dealing with estrogen. This could also be true if you are a man and struggling with man boobs.

If you are storing fat around the stomach then you may be having problems regulating insulin production or eating too much sugar. So what are my top tips to getting rid of stubborn body fat? Especially from those awkeward places.

(I am in the middle of Rewriting the Optimisation Diet which will contain a more in depth discussion and review of this subject.)

These are the basics

1.	Do some resistance training – Building muscle will help boost metabolism and start the body reshaping process

2.	Clean up your diet – Cut out all processed food and remove as many toxins from your diet as possible

3.	Drink lots of clean filtered water – at least 2 litres per day

4.	RELAX – Being stressed is a sure fire way to put your hormones out of balance

To further enhance your fat loss from specific areas you could try supplementing your diet. The first things I would recommend using are

1.	Green supplement – This would conisist of various types of grasses and plants. Will be an excellent source of phytonutrients, fibre, and vegetable nutrients. I use products that I can easily mix in water.

2.	Essential fat supplement – I recommend using a high quality fish oil and/or flax seed oil based product. Preferably in liquid form

3.	Milk Thistle – This is a herb that aids liver function and is probably one of the most known health products on the market

4.	Alkalising product – Most of us are consuming more acidic foods, and drinks than ever before, leading stressful busy lives, all of which can lead to an acidic environment in your body.

I will be sharing the updated Optimisation Diet and all the information about hormonal health, the best ways to lose fat and keep it off in the next Fit Body Challenge course.

There is an early bird price available till Wednesday and the course kicks off on the 30th April. If you would like to register then head over to the site by clicking HERE

Hey

this is just going to be a really short post.

Many people believe that all fat is bad for you. That eating fat will pile on the pounds of wobbly stuff around your belly.

A few years ago I worked in a health food store. What I found interesting was that in almost every section of the store there was some kind of remedy for for health complaints based on an oil. Oil and fat are actually the same thing.

These remedies included Cod liver oil for joints, Evening primrose oil and many others for regulating woman’s hormones, fish oils to improve brain function, and for heart health. Flax seed oil for male hormones. Many people use different types of oils and fats to improve skin, hair and nails, and you can’t walk down a supermarket isle without seeing a package claiming to be full of health boosting omega 3 oils.

I will be writing a more comprehensive report on fats soon, but for now I will keep this pretty simple.

In all my reading, I have time and again seen one man referenced to as one of the worlds leading experts on improving degenerative disorders using essential fats. This person is Dr Udo’s Erasmus. The author of Fats that heal, Fats that kill.

The main suggestion is that it is very important to maintain levels of Omega 3, 6 & 9 oils. Of course like anything the source of these oils is very important.

The main product I recommend is Udo’s ultimate oil blend. I have just started stocking this product along with Beyond greens (another fantastic product created by Dr Udo’s)

Some of the benefits you may notice from regular use of Udo’s oil are

Endurance:

Increased muscular endurance during strength training

Athletes also reported increased cardiovascular endurance and in a few cases, claimed they could run farther, faster and longer.

Strength & Power:

Athletes reported increased explosive power, speed and intensity

Increased Lean body mass and thermogenesis

Recovery:

Faster, more complete recovery between weightlifting sets and following workouts

Less joint pain and tenderness

Some athelets reported reduced inflammation and the accelarated healing of injuries

Flexibility:

Improved flexibility with increased range of motion

Energy:

Improved energy intensity and sustainability

Udo’s Oil – £18.50 (RRP £19.99)

Beyond Greens – £20.50 (RRP £22.99)
